Comptetitive swimming youth < 13
General
The youth competitive swimming group (minioren < 13) within the club is designed for young swimmers who want to keep swimming after obtaining their basic swimming diplomas (ABC).

Tailored training
As a new swimmer in the competitive group, you will start in lane 1. Here, over a maximum of six months, you will be taught the basics of the competitive strokes and work on your fitness. Once you have mastered the basic principles, you will move to a lane that matches your age. Each lane has its own coach who helps swimmers further develop their technique in butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle, and starts and turns.
Competitions
To help swimmers put their newly acquired skills into practice as soon as possible, and to build team spirit and racing experience, we aim to take swimmers to 'Swimkicks' events after their initial period, and to official competitions at a later stage. These events typically consist of 4 meets per season (held on Sundays). A coach will accompany the swimmers during these meets. You and your child will be kept informed by the lead coach.
At the beginning of each new season, there is an information evening for parents. If you have any questions during the season, you are always welcome to approach the (lead) coach during training sessions.
